I recently read the His Dark Materials series, actually finished The Amber Spyglass last night. I LOVED all of them dearly, and I wanted to some kind of fanart. This is really loosely based, but I just had an image that stuck with me when Lyra and Will were in the world of the dead, and the descriptions of everyone having their own death which followed them through there life seem kind of magical and although my interpretation of what they looked like is more than likely highly inaccurate I just had to get it out of my head~! I hope you like it!

I haven't touched the books for such a long time but some scenes have stuck with me. The world of the dead is certainly one of them and i do believe your concept fits right in. I love how subtle you've managed to show their death and how inhuman the figure looks.

It's been so long since I read those books, I can't remember the deaths. But I'll definitely keep your visual of it in mind when I read them again because this is epic and looks like it would fit the series spot on! I love the streak of blue on the face and the eyes, they're sort of alien like. The hands look peculiar, I wish they weren't hidden but it leaves more to the imagination. :D The golden shimmer is fitting for the importance of the Dust in the books, as far as I remember that haha

Oh gosh, this is a real compliment. I wanted a lot of inhuman ambiguity,
that's really why you can only get a glimpse. I recommend reading them
again, I think they're amazing and I find myself reflecting on them all the
time (even though I finished them for the first time like a month ago.)

Oh my god shut up. You ARE THE SWEETEST. No but really.
The premise is all Phillip Pullman. It was all his genius story,
beautiful writing, and like, idk. Sometimes I just get so absorbed
and this was one of these times. It moved me, really. I kind of have
and obsession with death and what not myself so I get carried away
because im so weirddd. After my close to death experience I just got
way weird and see everything a little tweaked I guess. I like to imagine
different things than expected, but so related to what we already know
that it's just that much transformed and omg this comments too long!!

SHUT UP ILY.
